Darlene Emily Suriano

Gansevoort- Darlene Suriano, 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Glens Falls Center for Rehab and Nursing.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Henry Stuckwell and Marion McDonald. Darlene was the loving wife of 50+ years to the late Michael Suriano, Jr.

Formerly of Troy, Clifton Park, and Gansevoort, Darlene graduated from Troy High School. Darlene spent time as a cafeteria worker for Shen high school but spent the majority of her life as a dedicated mother and homemaker raising her children.

She enjoyed crochet, bingo and shopping along with watching movies and reading books.

Darlene is survived by her children, Sherry Murray (Bill), Tony Suriano (Stacy) and Patty Suriano, her grandchildren, Kristy Fischer (Justin), Michael Murray (Kim), Carolyn Suriano (Eddie), Carla Decarlo (Joey), Ashley Suriano, Zoe Suriano and Isaac Suriano. She is also survived by her sister in-law Margie Stockwell and several great grandchildren.

Darlene is predeceased by her son Michael Suriano III.

A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2018 at 1pm at Pine Knolls Church, 614 Gansevoort Rd, South Glens Falls, NY 12803, followed by a celebration of Darlene’s life.
