Frances (Fran) Constance Moscinski Gervais

Fran Gervais entered peacefully into eternal rest on 2/16/19, at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Homer Gervais for 59 years.

Born in Albany in 1934 to the late Thomas and Sophie (nee Amenda) Moscinski, she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. She was employed by the NYS Tax Dept., Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and retired from PriceChopper after 26 years of loyal service. She was a communicant of St. Madeline Sophie Church, Sch'dy, NY.

She was the devoted mother of Wayne Gervais (Marg), Michelle Valente, Joseph Gervais (Pam), and the late Paul Gervais (Bridget).

She was the loving grandmother of Jeremy (Mary Beth) Gervais, Nathan Gervais, Francis (Maja) Himes, Michael (Nicole) Himes, Dustin (Carole) Gervais, Brittany (Josh) Moeves, Matthew (Jennifer) Gervais, Sarah (Joseph) Gervais, Chris Stempek, and Sarah Stempek, and she was the proud great grandmother of Christian and Charlotte Moeves, Ella and Charlotte Ollenburger, Azure Gervais, Evan Gervais, and Sophie and Alexis Himes.

She was predeceased by her husband Homer; her son Paul; her brothers Michael, Joseph, and Frank Moscinski and Julian and Tomas Mason; and her sisters Veronica Lupe, Agnes Hadsel, and Genevieve Preda.

She is survived by her sons Wayne and Joseph, her daughter Michelle, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Fran’s love for life and her sense of humor will always be remembered by her family and friends.

She requested there be no calling hours or funeral service. The family requests privacy at this time. Prayers and masses would be appreciated.
