Dorothea Louise (Shaffer) Dexter

Ballston Spa- Dorothea Louise Dexter (Shaffer) of Ballston Spa NY, passed away on January 23, 2021 unexpectedly after a short battle with a rare illness.

She was born September 1, 1959 in Syracuse, NY where she spent most of her life. She retired from CNYDDSO where she worked for 34 years.

She is predeceased by the love of her life Robert Dexter, as well as her parents William D Shaffer and Patricia Bidwell Roman and her brother Billy.

She will forever be cherished and remembered by her son Charles and daughter in law Staci and her 6 grandchildren Ashley, Josue, Donavyn, Mariana, Cameron, and Charlie Jr. She will be missed by her brothers Brian Shaffer and Carmelo Roman and her sister Tina Quick as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.

We shall not mourn the loss of a mother, sister, and friend, instead we shall celebrate her life and her love for her family.

The family plans to have a memorial later in the spring.
