Michael A. Powloka

Shaftsbury, VT- Michael A. Powloka, 57, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA he was the son of the late Norman J. Powloka and Betty Jean Reed.

Michael attended Alburgh Elementary and Missisquoi Valley Union High from which he graduated. He went on to work at Radio Shack in St. Albans Vermont,  Rutland Vermont and Bennington Vermont as a Manager. Michael also worked for Ikon office solutions,  and Symquest Group where he worked as a service technician, repairing copiers and fax machines for many years.

He enjoyed Amateur Radio, Golf, Building and flying RC Planes and Drones in his free time. Michael belonged to the Bennington Vermont Amateur Radio Club and the Hoosick Aero modelers club.  Michael loved flying and building his planes, that was his favorite thing on this earth to do. He also enjoyed country music and listening to pod casts.

Michael leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Laurie A. Powloka, sister in Law, Tina M. Martin, Father & Mother In Law, George & Evelyn Martin, his friends Micky & Doreen Corrow , Bill Clark,  and his many buddies in Amateur Radio and the Flying Club, Ken & Lina Galo , Ed Ransom.

There will be a private small gathering 8/2/20 1:00 PM with his Radio and Flying club Friends in White Creek, NY .
