Nina M. Hillmeyer

Nina M. Hilmeyer, also known as Nan by her brothers and sisters, of Sharon Springs, NY passed into the hands of her Lord January 6, 2021 at the age of 63. Nina was born on June 29, 1957 in Albany NY, to Walter (Shiny) and Joyce Pogoda-Wall, both predeceased her.

Nina loved and treasured her family. Her love for children made her favorited by not only her kids, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, but also by most every child that ever touched her life. Her love of plants and flowers was the driving passion that created BlazinFlower Farms, which she ran and worked until becoming ill. Nina had a love for all nature,especially of the ocean, she enjoyed camping, kayaking, and hiking. Her spitfire, determined, and adventurous personality led her to many great life experiences.

Nina is survived by her husband Robert Hilmeyer Sr., her four children Nicole Danaher, Monique Borden, Brittany Hilmeyer, Robert Hilmeyer Jr., Her eight grandchildren, two brothers, six sisters and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be planned for early summer at her farm. Instead of flowers any memorial contributions are asked to please be sent to St.Jude’s Children Hospital stjude.org or Marathon For A Better Life marathonforabetterlife.org.
